The Opportunity

The OSTC technology team is responsible for both a busy Service Desk team as well as building cutting edge bespoke software that is used in-house for their web and desktop products.  We are looking to add a technically confident and pro-active Service Desk Analyst to join our international team and work in our growing Hangzhou Office. 

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Receive and log calls on behalf of internal customers using the IT service management tool ensuring accurate data entry.
  • Deal with day-to-day IT issues directly to end users both in person and over the telephone.
  • Manage incidents, services requests and problems in-line with best practice processes and procedures.
  • Installation/reinstallation of software including the imagining/reimaging of computers and handled devices locally or using remote deployment tools
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records for PC’s, Laptops, Printers, Software Media, Monitors, and other various networking and computer related equipment
  • Responsible for evaluation, management, and maintenance of standard OSTC workstations, laptops and other equipment.
  • Assisting local office management with setting up video conferences, setting up VPN in multiple locations, ISV installation at local Universities.

Required skills:

  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and with international team of IT professionals.
  • Previous experience of working in a similar capacity.
  • Extensive end-user and administrative knowledge of latest Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Basic network knowledge.
  • Optimization of hardware and configuration for Wintel based desktops.
  • Must be able to communicate comfortably in English – in writing and verbally.
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with methodical approach to fault resolution.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with other IT and Business groups.
  • Customer-focus mindset, goal-orientation, energy and drive to implement changes.
  • Good organization and communication (both written and oral) skills.
